Despacito was first released by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi in the year 2017 and was the top-streamed track within 6 months. The single Despacito which was a mix of pop music with reggaeton has not just brought fresh interest to reggaeton but also brought more attention to Latin music. Billboard's Top 100 featured two songs which were Spanish predominantly, as well as four in 2016.
