Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on the 10th of March, 1958, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die manufacturer and former factory worker Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her three siblings. Stone, who was gifted in school as young children, began her second grade education at the age of five. In 1975 Stone graduated from Saegertown high school located in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). Also, Stone competed and won at the Miss Pennsylvania beauty contest. Stone together with her aunt, in 1977 made the move to New Jersey for a modeling job. She signed with Ford Modeling Agency a week further. Then, she relocated back to Europe and spent an entire year in Milan as well as Paris. Stone was unhappy with the fashion market in Europe she decided to concentrate on acting. She appeared at 20 in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," the film which got mixed receptions.
